Role Overview The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They work within organizational policies, ensuring professional growth, accountability, and adherence to practice standards. The nurse coordinates patient care activities and supervises assigned staff to deliver quality nursing services. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care based on assessment and clinical judgment. Coordinate and supervise care activities of nursing staff. Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Ensure documentation accuracy and timely communication. Obtain and maintain required certifications, including specialty-specific credentials. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred. New graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred; minimum one year for PRN roles. Current Georgia RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area, such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or chemotherapy certification.
