This position is also involves performing a wide range of tasks related to service development, including project implementations, supervisory function to support the Director/Manager, and designing solutions for both clients and Pasona internal.A successful candidate is a proactive person who is willing to take responsibility for various operations with strong operation skill (speed and accuracy) and to enthusiastically be involved in process optimization, continuous improvement and/or transformation of backoffice-related operation workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesLead assigned projects as a project leader, including reviewing procedures, monitoring profitability, managing client expectations, renewing agreements, and training project membersProcess full accounting tasks such as accounting payable, account receivable, bank reconciliation, monthly/yearly closing including adjusting journal entries and create financial reports for multiple clientsImplement new accounting projects including accounting system implementation for clientsProcess some tax filings and payments such as estimate taxes, sales/use taxes, 1099/1096 for multiple clientsExamine and improve existing accounting procedures of the assigned projectsCommunicate/interact with clients, sales department, and project team members to meet client expectationsEnsure quality of customer serviceCollaborate with IT, marketing, and other development teams to plan and develop new services, operations and processesEnsure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements to safeguard the company's operations and reputationParticipate in internal projects as assignedPerform other duties as assignedQualifications(REQUIRED) 5+ years of accounting experience including month-end closing or equivalent(REQUIRED) Experience in project management and team management(REQUIRED) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)(Preferred) Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience(Preferred) Experience with accounting system implementation (e.g., QuickBooks or similar systems)(Preferred) Exposure to or experience with AI technologies and applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform)(Preferred) Experience executing cross-departmental and/or external projects- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English (working proficiency required)- Ability to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced work environment- Strong prioritization, multitasking, time management, and customer service mind to meet stakeholder expectations and deadlines- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment- Comfortable learning new systems and adaptable to IT-related changes; not afraid of challenge- Proactive in resolving issues and developing solutions to complex problems- Strong initiative and flexibility for new projects, systems, procedures, and company directions.- Ability to achieve results aligned with PASONA's and the department's business objectives* Anticipated Start Date: Immediately* Salary: $70,304-$100,000 (Base Salary) + Profit sharing* Classifications: Exempt, Full-time (40 hours/week)* Work schedule: Mon-Fri 9am- 6pm* Benefits: Health Ins, Dental Ins, Vision Ins, 401K, PTO, Paid Holiday* Location: Office-based Hybrid work in Torrance, CA; New York, NY; Houston, TX preferred.
