Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Sunnyvale, CA. This contract position is perfect for professionals looking for a full-time assignment (30 hours per week), with workdays running Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM. There are two immediate openings available, starting this Monday. While this role begins short term, it has the potential to extend through the entire school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be an onboarded paraprofessional with completed onboarding requirements for California schools
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient instructional and behavioral support
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and staff
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, changing classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in classroom management, instructional delivery, and daily routines
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, including those with special needs
- Assist in implementing lesson plans and individual education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student learning and engagement
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies
