Financial Analyst - Operations Finance

An established manufacturing company is looking to add a Financial Analyst to its operations finance team. This role supports plant financial reporting, forecasting, operational analysis, and business partnership initiatives across manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking exposure to plant operations, manufacturing costing, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic production environment.

What You'll Do
Month-End Close & Reporting
Assist with monthly close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and inventory support
Prepare financial reporting packages and variance analysis for leadership review
Support product costing analysis and manufacturing financial reporting
Validate raw material and BOM data to support costing accuracy
Operations & Financial Partnership
Partner with plant teams to deliver financial insights and operational analysis
Analyze production performance, scrap, yields, and operational KPIs
Support the development and refinement of KPI reporting
Monitor operational compliance and escalate issues as needed
Build strong working relationships with finance and plant leadership teams
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Support annual planning and forecasting cycles
Track performance against budget and forecast expectations
Assist with scenario analysis and performance reporting
Projects & Process Improvement
Participate in ad hoc analysis and cross-functional initiatives
Support process improvement efforts across finance and operations
Continue developing knowledge of manufacturing finance and operational processes
What You Bring
3-5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience
Manufacturing industry exposure preferred
Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial reporting
ERP experience required; JDE preferred
Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work effectively within operational environments
Nice to Have
CPA/CMA designation completed or underway
MBA or related advanced education
Experience supporting plant finance operations
Exposure to manufacturing KPIs and operational analytics
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP standards
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
