TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Eureka, California, 95501!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: CA State License Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Proficiency in Epic charting system - Ability to float as needed Description: Postpartum experience preferred. Weekend requirement to meet staffing needs. Caring for high-risk obstetrics and a culturally diverse population. Registered Nurses will circulate in cesarean sections. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and adults. Daily census averages between 15-20 patients. Number of rooms: 11; number of beds: 15. Must float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed. Travelers will be prioritized for floating within their scope. Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays is required. Skills required include: Administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, and antepartum care. Experience with anticoagulation therapy and antihypertensives. Assisting with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries. Provide discharge teaching to parents and perform newborn assessments. Manage epidural anesthesia and maintain central lines as necessary. Recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Experience with labor and delivery, postpartum care, and lactation support. Perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams. Use of fetal monitoring and IV management is required. Expertise in wound assessment and care is essential. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities; refusal to float could result in termination of the assignment. Providers must maintain compliance with all facility and travel requirements.
