Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Travel-RN-ED(782) is responsible for delivering safe, timely emergency care in a fast-paced ED environment with a focus on compassionate teamwork. The role supports low-acuity through higher-acuity patient needs, including key emergency protocols and accurate documentation.


Responsibilities:

• Provide initial patient assessments and ongoing monitoring for ED patients of varying acuity levels.
  
• Administer medications and deliver prescribed treatments with attention to urgency and clinical accuracy.
  
• Perform wound care, splinting, IV initiation and maintenance, and other bedside procedures as indicated.
  
• Collect urine specimens and obtain lab draws according to established ED workflows.
  
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech, including vital sign data flow into the chart.
  
• Coordinate with charge, triage, physicians, and team members to support throughput and quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and be eligible to work as a Travel RN.
  
• Have greater than two years of emergency department experience.
  
• Demonstrate Level II or Level III trauma experience.
  
• Maintain current certifications including TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and BLS (required).
  
• Hold or be able to obtain CEN or TCRN and CPI (preferred).
  
• Exhibit strong teamwork, urgency, and compassion in a high-volume, competitive ED setting.
