Prep Cook

Overview Prep Cooks are key members of Fjord’s kitchen team, responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting daily food production, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Prep Cooks help set the stage for high-quality, made-to-order meals by maintaining organization, consistency, and food safety standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to cleanliness and efficiency. Core Responsibilities Prepare and portion ingredients according to Fjord recipes and prep lists Wash, peel, chop, and store produce, seafood, and other ingredients as needed Label, date, and organize prepped items to ensure freshness and minimize waste Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep station throughout each shift Assist Line Cooks and kitchen team with food production and plating during service Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols Support end-of-shift cleaning, breakdown, and restocking procedures Communicate with kitchen leadership about prep needs, shortages, or quality concerns Qualifications / Requirements 1+ years of experience in a kitchen or prep role preferred Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions with consistency Comfortable using standard kitchen equipment and tools (knives, slicers, mixers) Strong multitasking and time management skillsdu> #J-18808-Ljbffr
