While performing the duties and responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware The position generally conducts business out in the field utilizing various hand tools for numerous construction and maintenance duties, including shovels, rakes, pickaxes, brooms, and varying-sized electric and hand tools. Familiarity with four-wheel-drive capabilities and self-recovery winching techniques will be needed from time to time. Protective Equipment Required Fieldwork will often be conducted in remote locations under potentially extreme weather environments. Attire for the position will be provided and maintained by Maricopa County, and has the potential for General Construction and/or Field Inspection PPE required to perform duties daily. This includes, but is not limited to, safety-toe footwear, hard hats, high-visibility vests, eye protection, and durable pants, such as jeans.
