Sr Specialist, Integration Partner

PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Specialist, Integration Partner in Scottsdale, AZ. Job duties include providing technical guidance to merchants and developers in their implementation of PayPal's payment processing solutions, APIs, and commerce products. The role involves identifying, troubleshooting, and running test scenarios for technical issues with PayPal code, software, hardware, devices, and endpoints, and communicating fixes or workarounds for an issue. The position also requires generating and reviewing in-depth technical information for distribution to PayPal merchants. Additionally, the Sr Specialist will serve as a knowledgeable resource to provide technical business solutions to merchants and developers, and to address PayPal product questions with PayPal Sales departments. Presentations to audiences of varying sizes, attending meetings, and taking on leader roles for projects are also part of the job. Participation in the development of software tools, systems, and processes aimed at improving product supportability and overall support productivity is expected. The role involves advising management and appropriate groups on support issues which impact customer satisfaction and providing recommendations for appropriate actions. Consulting with external clients to understand their business priorities, operational challenges, and technical infrastructure, and proposing technical solutions which solve for their needs is also required. Monitoring payment gateway processor switches by reviewing accounts, flagging potential issues, and flipping payment processors is part of the responsibilities. The Sr Specialist will define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications, help build performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable, and available software systems, and identify and fix performance, scalability, and other software live issues in a very time critical environment. Designing, developing, and testing high throughput back-end software systems, identifying and making recommendations to reduce software architecture development project risks, and segmenting and designing technical system layers to support componentized and layered software application development, including business logic functionality and database/component repository access are also part of the job. The Sr Specialist will help develop software code and participate in code review sessions. Performing exploratory data analysis to understand the correlation between target product performance and platform integration features is also expected.

Minimum requirements include a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Special skill requirements include Agile/Scrum, SDLC, JIRA, Confluence, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, React JS, and JavaScript.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is: Scottsdale, AZ | Salary: $94,000.00-151,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
