About the Position

We are actively seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Catheterization Lab for an exciting travel opportunity in California. This position offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to work in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment.

The RN will provide comprehensive care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, neurological, pulmonary, and special procedure cases.

• Interventional Radiology
• Special Procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate during cardiac, vascular, neuro, and special procedures
• Assist with cardiac stent placement, PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, IABP placement/removal
• Perform and monitor left/right heart catheterizations
• Assist with central line insertion and management
• Sheath removal and vascular closure management (Perclose, StarClose)
• Monitor procedural sedation and manage emergency situations
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Assist with angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and other interventional procedures
• Provide IV therapy including vasopressors, thrombolytics, and emergency medications
• Ensure infection prevention and adherence to isolation precautions
• Monitor ACT levels and end-tidal CO₂
• Provide patient triage and critical care monitoring

This role requires strong clinical judgment, technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments.

Requirements

• Active RN License (California)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Experience with interventional cardiac procedures required
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
