Regional Property Manager - Multifamily - Base Salary to 155k/year - Jersey City, NJ

• Our client is a leading full-service property management company with a growing portfolio of multifamily communities. They are seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties in the Jersey City, NJ market. This leadership role is responsible for directing onsite property management teams, driving operational excellence, achieving financial performance goals, and ensuring each community meets established standards for resident satisfaction and overall operational success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop Community Managers, Property Managers, and onsite teams through recruiting, hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and employee development.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and staffing of a portfolio of multifamily communities and apartment properties.
• Drive portfolio profitability by managing budgets, controlling operating expenses, maximizing revenue, monitoring rent collections, and achieving Net Operating Income (NOI) goals.
• Partner with Asset Management to develop annual budgets, evaluate capital improvement needs, and execute strategic business plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Fair Housing, OSHA, and landlord-tenant laws.
• Monitor occupancy trends, rental rates, lease renewals, and property performance while implementing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Oversee property marketing initiatives, resident retention efforts, and customer service strategies to enhance resident satisfaction and property performance.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure communities maintain strong curb appeal, maintenance standards, and market-ready apartment conditions.
• Manage vendor relationships, preventive maintenance programs, capital improvement projects, and seasonal service contracts.
• Analyze financial, operational, and market data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive overall portfolio performance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of multifamily, multisite property management experience, including at least 1+ year as a Regional Manager.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing multiple multifamily properties or apartment communities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Ability to travel regularly between properties and communities within the assigned portfolio.
• Ability to perform routine property inspections, including walking communities, climbing stairs, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 145k - 155k/year range.
