Location:  Wixom  Shift : 6:30am-3PM   Pay : $18

Job Summary

Workbox Staffing is seeking a Die Cut Machine Operator to operate die cutting equipment and produce quality components according to established production processes and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate die cutting equipment to produce die cut components according to documented processes and specifications. 
• Maintain 100% compliance with equipment-related production systems, processes, and safety requirements. 
• Set up jobs according to documented setup procedures and maintain production samples for traceability. 
• Perform part inspections to ensure required quality standards and metrics are met. 
• Support efficient production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers. 
• Follow Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in scheduled Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities. 
• Identify and report quality issues or nonconforming products to the Quality team. 
• Help contain potentially nonconforming product and complete required documentation. 
• Perform daily press maintenance as assigned and report mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor. 
• Record completed equipment maintenance in the appropriate press maintenance log. 
• Clean and maintain tooling according to manufacturer recommendations. 
• Complete required documentation for tooling repairs and report damaged tooling. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including press surfaces, materials, and carts. 
• Follow documented press practices, warning labels, and other safety procedures. 
• Work with team members to resolve problems and recommend improvements to products and processes. 
• Complete required production, quality, and performance documentation. 
• Attend work and return from breaks according to scheduled shift times. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

What We’re Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred. 
• Experience operating die cutting equipment strongly preferred. 
• Good mechanical aptitude. 
• Basic math skills. 
• Ability to follow documented processes and work instructions. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy. 
• Computer proficiency, including basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills. 
• Experience with ERP or production reporting systems preferred. 
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF/TS 16949 standards is a plus. 
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred. 
• Strong teamwork and accountability. 

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move 30+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. 
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
• Ability to safely operate production equipment after proper training. 
• Ability to follow all company safety, quality, and production requirements.
