Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a travel Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment, requiring ARDMS or RVS certification and experience in general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a Radiology/Ultrasound department,
• Level III trauma facility,
• Department has 4 ultrasound rooms with Toshiba units (with 2 new Philips units pending),
• Performs all ultrasound modalities including general, vascular, and OB (all three trimesters); echo experience is a plus but not required,
• Average of 10-15 scans/studies per day,
• Uses Epic RIS for EMR and Fuji PACS,
• Radiologist is on-site three days per week,
• Evening shift, 8-hour days from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM,
• On-call rotation required after 9:00 PM and on weekends,
• Holidays covered via on-call only,
• No floating to other areas required,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience,
• Active ARDMS or RVS (via CCI) certification required - pending certifications are not accepted,
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required,
• Proficiency in general ultrasound, OB (all trimesters), and vascular studies,
• Experience with Toshiba or similar ultrasound equipment preferred,
• Epic RIS and Fuji PACS experience preferred,
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility - a valid driver's license is required for consideration,
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,
• A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of ultrasound studies including general, vascular, OB, and procedure-related imaging,
• Clinicians must be present in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely,
• A radiation badge (Rad Badge) must be provided prior to starting the assignment,
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered,
