Field Technician

Field Technician/Engineer Roles
Pay Rate: $34.57 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Ability to run, terminate, and dress DC power & ground cabling (2awg maximum size, typically 6awg, 8awg, and 10awg at most locations)
- Ability to terminate DC power cabling in energized BDFB
- Ability to run, terminate, and dress CAT5, T1 (16 pair), and alarm (4 pair) cable
- Ability to understand engineering design package/CAD drawings
- Ability to neatly place labels on power/datacom/fiber
- Ability to adapt to changing site conditions
- Ability to work safely around live equipment
- Ability to work safely using step ladders
- Ability to install and modify fiber raceway
- Ability to follow directions and work both collaboratively and with little oversight during certain tasks
- Ability to work with purpose and meet schedule requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
Requirements:
- Must have OSHA-10 certification
- Must have Cat 2 FR clothing, Type 1 hardhat, steel-toed boots, cut-resistant gloves, and safety glasses to be onsite
- Must have clean background check and ability to obtain federal clearance
