Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk perinatal unit, including labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum settings
• Float to Postpartum as needed, supporting staffing ratios of 1:3 couplets with CNA assistance
• Participate in triage care within a 7-bay triage unit staffed by skilled RNs each shift
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including delivering providers, CRNAs, surgical techs, CNAs, and health unit coordinators available 24/7
• Perform and document care using EPIC electronic health records
• Maintain compliance with unit staffing expectations, including holiday commitments (must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP , and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring
• Sterile Vaginal Exam (SVE) competency required — hard stop requirement
• Must commit to working weekends as required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a facility handling 200 or more deliveries; candidates from facilities with 100–200 deliveries will also be considered
• Familiarity with high-risk perinatal care environments, including Level III units
• Experience working in large labor and delivery units with multiple ORs, PACU bays, and antepartum beds
