Job Description:

- Delegate and supervise nursing tasks effectively while prioritizing patient care.
- Deliver thorough and accurate documentation of patient data and responses according to established standards.
- Communicate timely reports on patient status to healthcare team members for seamless integration of care.
- Promote professional development and learning for yourself and colleagues.
- Identify and mitigate risks to patient safety, reducing medical errors with proactive reporting.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy per physician orders, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Conduct pain assessments and manage interventions based on patient responses and effectiveness.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes accurately.
- Understand and implement thrombolytic and anticoagulation protocols.
- Display knowledge and skills in mechanical ventilation and care for intubated patients.
- Accurately assess arterial blood gases and monitor for potential airway complications.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to patient care planning and evaluation.
- Provide ongoing assessment in the post-operative phase, identifying potential complications promptly.
- Complete documentation related to medication reconciliation and protocol adherence diligently.

Job Requirements:


- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred; telemetry experience required; ICU experience preferred.
- Current MA RN License; ACLS certification upon hire or active BLS card with ACLS acquisition within 60 days; CCRN preferred.

Functional Demands:


- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
- Frequent reaching, handling, and feeling required; occasional stooping and kneeling.
