Analyze production requirements and problems; implement corrective action regarding manpower, equipment, and technical issues. Provide input to longer-term planning based on performance, staffing, and equipment availability. Monitor and analyze cost and schedule data of various operations to assess performance/productivity and implement improvement plans. Control overhead spending to stay within approved plant operating budgets. Enforce work rules and practices fairly for staff and hourly workers. Identify and propose methods to improve productivity through equipment acquisition, better methods of assembly, and overhead reductions. Assess employee skills, create development plans, and conduct performance appraisals. Collaborate with other departments to ensure system function. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Delegate work to subordinates to ensure efficiency and timely completion. Complete documentation and file appropriately. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management preferred or HS Diploma or GED equivalent with related experience in manufacturing and production supervision. At least five years of production and/or supervisory experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word and Excel.
