Senior Frontend Engineer

Kforce has a client in Stamford, CT that is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer. Summary: Are you passionate about building intuitive digital experiences that help people make informed decisions, navigate complex services, and access critical information with confidence? We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to help design and build modern web and mobile applications that serve thousands of users through highly visible customer-facing platforms. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful products that simplify complex processes, improve transparency, and empower consumers through exceptional digital experiences. What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and deliver high-quality web and mobile experiences using React and TypeScript
- Own features from concept through production, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces integrated with GraphQL and REST APIs
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Develop reusable UI components and frontend frameworks that enable scalability and long-term maintainability
- Drive performance improvements, accessibility enhancements, and overall user experience optimization
- Implement automated testing strategies and maintain high standards for code quality and reliability
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring exceptional performance and uptime
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the evolution of engineering standards, best practices, and technical direction
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting production web applications
- Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, modern frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development
- Experience integrating with GraphQL and REST APIs
- Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience building customer-facing applications with a focus on usability and user experience
- Strong testing experience with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Experience supporting production applications, including monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for creating digital experiences that have a meaningful impact on users
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other consumer-focused environments
- Portfolio or GitHub showcasing technical craftsmanship and frontend leadership
- React Native
- Accessibility and WCAG standards
- Work on products that directly impact people's daily lives
- Influence the direction of highly visible customer-facing platforms
