Senior Frontend Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Stamford, CT that is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer.

We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to help design and build modern web and mobile applications that serve thousands of users through highly visible customer-facing platforms. What You'll Do:
* Design, build, and deliver high-quality web and mobile experiences using React and TypeScript
* Own features from concept through production, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
* Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces integrated with GraphQL and REST APIs
* Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions
* Develop reusable UI components and frontend frameworks that enable scalability and long-term maintainability
* Drive performance improvements, accessibility enhancements, and overall user experience optimization
* Implement automated testing strategies and maintain high standards for code quality and reliability
* Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring exceptional performance and uptime
* Mentor engineers and contribute to the evolution of engineering standards, best practices, and technical direction

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience building and supporting production web applications
* Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, modern frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development
* Experience integrating with GraphQL and REST APIs
* Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
* Experience building customer-facing applications with a focus on usability and user experience
* Strong testing experience with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
* Experience supporting production applications, including monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Passion for creating digital experiences that have a meaningful impact on users

Preferred Experience:
* Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other consumer-focused environments
* Portfolio or GitHub showcasing technical craftsmanship and frontend leadership
* React Native
* Accessibility and WCAG standards

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
