Our primary clients are WisDOT, MnDOT, counties, municipalities, and private developers in Wisconsin.OES has immediate openings for a Project Leader – Construction Administration (WisDOT) based hybrid in any of our 3 Wisconsin offices: Madison, Milwaukee, or Green Bay.Key Responsibilities:Project Delivery & Construction AdministrationServe as project leader or resident engineer on WisDOT highway and infrastructure construction projectsManage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality on assigned projectsAdminister construction contracts, including: RFIs, submittals, and change orders, Contractor pay estimates and quantity tracking, and Compliance with plans, specifications, and WisDOT standardsMaintain accurate project documentation, daily diaries, and required reportsLead construction progress meetings and coordinate with WisDOT, contractors, and stakeholdersIdentify and resolve construction issues related to field conditions, conflicts, and contractor performanceClient CoordinationServe as a day-to-day point of contact for WisDOT project staff and local agenciesSupport communication between design teams, contractors, and ownersAssist with constructability reviews and project coordination as neededTeam LeadershipProvide direction to construction inspectors and field staffMentor junior staff and support the development of technical and field skillsAssist with staff scheduling and workload coordination on assigned projectsBusiness Development SupportParticipate in WisDOT Construction Fair interviews as neededRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:One of the following: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 4+ years of construction administration, preferably on WisDOT or municipal projects. A 4-year Construction Management degree or 2-year Civil Technical Degree and 8+ years of construction administration, preferably on WisDOT or municipal projects.Experience serving in a lead role (Project Leader, Assistant Project Leader, or Resident Engineer) on transportation construction projects Working knowledge of: WisDOT Standard Specifications and Construction & Materials Manual (CMM)Construction materials, testing requirements, and acceptance proceduresConstruction documentation, pay quantities, and contract administration processesStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills · Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout WisconsinPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain within 6 months)WisDOT HTCP certifications (e.g., Asphalt, Concrete, Grading, Nuclear Density, Aggregate)6–10 years of WisDOT construction leader experience on projects with increasing levels of complexity.Experience serving as a primary project leader on WisDOT projectsFamiliarity and active experience with AASHTOWare Project Experience with construction materials testing and documentation per WisDOT Construction Materials Manual (CMM)Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and lead small teamsExperience supporting proposals, NOIs, or client development activitiesBenefits:16 Days of Paid Time Off8 Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Eye InsuranceEmployee Referral ProgramTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness ProgramMultiple Voluntary Medical BenefitsAbout Us:The Oneida ESC Group is a family of companies owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin that delivers customer-focused engineering, science, and construction services worldwide.
