Senior Security Engineer

Overseeing the architecture and optimization of security controls, the full-time remote Senior Security Engineer will manage detection engineering efforts, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with defensive standards through proactive threat hunting and architectural reviews. Key responsibilities Collaborate on detection engineering efforts within the SIEM platform, including use case development and alert optimization Support management and optimization of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and coordinate technical responses to significant security incidents Conduct proactive threat hunting and define secure configuration standards for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in security engineering or advanced security operations Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and SIEM platforms (specifically Microsoft Sentinel) Strong proficiency with cloud security architecture, particularly in Azure environments Proven track record of leading incident response efforts and conducting root-cause analysis Experience with automation and scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, and KQL
