RN - Oncology

Registered Nurse - Oncology - Night Shift

This position requires a schedule of 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 hour shifts, with every other weekend required.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on the patient's needs. The nurse will identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develop and implement individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.

Initiate patient assessments based on their problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis.

Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.

Document care based on established standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.

Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Other duties as assigned.

Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting.

Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card certified by ONS.

Must hold a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or a multi-state compact license.
