Qualifications & Experience:

• Holds an active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Proven experience working with diverse learners in K-12 settings
• Knowledge of current best practices in differentiated instruction, behavior management, and IEP development
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt instructional plans to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress
• Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in partnership with students, families, and staff
• Foster an inclusive classroom climate that promotes positive learning outcomes and engagement
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal education regulations
