OB NocturnistCentral Maine Medical Center, in partnership with Prime Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist / Nocturnist to join our growing Women's Health team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered obstetric care in a supportive, collaborative environment during overnight hours.The ideal candidate is a confident, clinically strong physician who thrives in an autonomous night role while working closely with nursing staff, medical students, residents and support staff. We do approximately 900 deliveries annually and have a Level II NICU with in-house pediatrics and anesthesia.Nocturnist position (11 shifts/month. The private, not-for-profit institution is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education and plays an important role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals.ResponsibilitiesProvide in-house overnight obstetric coverageManage labor & delivery triage, admissions, and emergenciesPerform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as neededRespond to OB emergencies, including fetal distress and urgent interventionsCollaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teamsEnsure timely documentation and adherence to clinical protocolsSupport patient safety and quality initiativesQualificationsMD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & GynecologyActive or eligible for medical licensure in MaineStrong experience in labor & delivery and obstetric emergenciesExcellent communication and team collaboration skillsFluent in Lingala, French, Portuguese, or Somali is a bonusEmployment StatusFull TimeShiftNightsEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
