The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment. The role involves a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on work. You will be instrumental in maintaining the highest level of operational efficiency, productivity, and safety. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management.

About the Opportunity

We are a well-established advanced manufacturing company that produces highly engineered industrial metal used in electrical, energy, and industrial applications. They are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, process controls, and capital improvement initiatives at a large manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and utility systems.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Improve equipment uptime and overall plant reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts inventory.
• Lead and develop maintenance and engineering personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Manage departmental budgets and maintenance-related KPIs.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement capital projects and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance documentation, equipment records, and CMMS data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership for plant automation and process control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, motors, drives, and related control systems.
• Develop automation improvements and maintenance troubleshooting tools.

What You'll Accomplish

• Increase plant availability and equipment reliability.
• Implement formal maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Drive automation and process control improvements that increase production capacity.
• Partner with IT and Operations to improve manufacturing data and reporting capabilities.
• Lead capital improvement projects from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience leading maintenance and engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong PLC programming experience, including Allen-Bradley and GE/Fanuc platforms.
• HMI programming experience using platforms such as Wonderware and Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Strong knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, motors, drives, and electrical systems.
• Experience with process automation and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases or other enterprise manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings.
• Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on management style with the ability to support plant operations as needed.
• Availability to respond to critical plant issues outside normal business hours when necessary.
