Acoustic Test Engineer (Audio Measurement & HATS Lab)

Build the sound of next-gen consumer devicesWe are hiring a hands-on Acoustic Test Engineer to join our audio design team working on cutting-edge consumer electronics and IoT products. If you love measuring, breaking, and improving real-world audio systems - this is your role!You'll own acoustic validation and measurement across the product lifecycle, partnering with HW, SW, and UX teams to turn lab data into better sound experiences. What You'll DoRun acoustic and audio measurements (frequency response, distortion, impedance, transfer functions)Execute testing with HATS systems in anechoic and reverberant chambersEvaluate speech quality, intelligibility, DSP performance, SNR, and user audio experienceDesign and refine test methods, procedures, and automationAnalyze, organize,e and present data to drive product decisionsPrototype and evaluate new audio technologiesMaintain and improve lab infrastructure and measurement setupsCollaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and UX teamsWhat You Bring3+ years of hands-on audio-acoustic testing experienceStrong experience with:HATS measurement microphonesTools like Audio Precision, Head Acoustics (ACQUA) or Listen SoundCheckDeep understanding of audio hardware testing + lab workflowsAbility to write and execute structured test plansExperience analyzing and communicating measurement dataBonus Points:Experience with Klippel, Polytec, Keyence (laser displacement)Scripting in Python or MATLABBackground or interest in psychoacoustics / hearing scienceStrong critical listening skillsWho This Role Is Perfect ForCandidates who prefer hands-on lab work vs pure modelingEngineers who thrive in fast-paced product development cyclesAudio test engineers fromconsumer devices (phones, wearables, XR speakers, laptops)audio companies / labsBenefitsCompetitive base salary and overall compensation packageFull benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision401 (K) with generous company matchGenerous Paid time off (PTO)Vacation, sick, and paid holidaysLife Insurance coverageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects
