Position Details Title: Visiting Professor in Psychology Location: Morehouse College – Atlanta, GA Appointment Type: One-year Visiting Faculty Position Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA – The Division of Science, Technology, and Mathematics (STEM) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor appointment within the Department of Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach undergraduate research methods and statistics courses. Responsibilities Teach and advise undergraduate students Supervise student research projects Participate in the life and culture of the department Teach research methods and statistics Use and teach SPSS and/or R statistical packages Develop course content and materials to support learning outcomes and departmental requirements, if any Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner, providing feedback to support student success Schedule and maintain appropriate office hours and communicate with students using the Morehouse network Utilize instructional technology platforms such as Banner, Blackboard, and Starfish Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred) Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree with experience teaching multiple areas of psychology Experience with active learning and teaching diverse student populations Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge of psychological theory, research, and practice Ability to teach SPSS and/or R Strong understanding of evidence-based teaching practices Ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive instruction Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage course responsibilities independently Commitment to academic integrity and institutional policies Compensation Compensation commensurate with the position and qualifications.
