Virtual Outpatient Gastroenterology APP - Charlotte Metro Area

Atrium Health Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its growing, well-established outpatient gastroenterology team in the Charlotte metro area. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a large, collaborative group with diverse subspecialty expertise and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Position Highlights

• Virtual Outpatient-only role

• Schedule: Variable hours including evenings and weekends

  • 4.5 clinic days per week

  • 0.5 dedicated administrative day

• Patient Volume: Approximately 14 patients per day

• Procedures: PEG tube exchanges (training/support provided)

Practice Environment

• Kenilworth office location

• Team includes 8 physicians and 5 APPs at the site

• Larger group includes 27 physicians and 27 APPs across the practice

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient gastroenterology care to adult patients

• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues

• Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination

• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

• North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)

• Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required (no new grads)

• Interest in general gastroenterology ; subspecialty interests welcomed

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
