Location: UCHealth Anschutz Pavilion - Aurora, CO Department: Inpatient Acute Care Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days. 2 weekend days per month (24 weekend days per year). 1 Holiday and Holiday Weekend per year. Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Summary : Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs. Responsibilities :
- Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
- Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and providing information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Assists with patient discharge planning.
- Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or related program.
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
