Lube Technician

Overview Job Location: Valley Motor City of Columbus - Pataskala, OH 43062-9726 Salary Range: $15.00 - $25.00 hourly Job Purpose: The Lube Technician performs routine maintenance services on vehicles, inspecting, diagnosing, and servicing the lubrication system to support vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform oil changes and lubrication services on a variety of vehicles, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Inspect vehicle fluid levels (transmission, brake, steering) and replenish as necessary. Conduct routine inspections of the engine, brakes, and other essential systems to identify potential issues. Replace air, fuel, cabin, and oil filters as needed to maintain vehicle efficiency. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Communicate with customers, explaining services performed and any additional maintenance or repairs recommended. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service area and tools, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and service techniques to provide high-quality service. Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure a seamless customer experience. Adhere to company policies and procedures, promoting a professional and customer-focused environment. Experience : Previous experience in a similar role or automotive service environment; familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair processes. Skills and Abilities : Proficiency in using hand tools and automotive equipment. Strong understanding of lubrication systems and oil change procedures. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
