Redbird and Vibiana are looking for experienced, enthusiastic Events Servers to join our hospitality team. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, Redbird and Vibiana host a wide range of experiences—from intimate private dinners and celebrations at Redbird to weddings, galas, corporate events, receptions, and large-scale productions at Vibiana.

Our Events Servers work across both Redbird and Vibiana events, creating warm, polished and memorable experiences for our guests. We are looking for people who genuinely enjoy hospitality, work well as part of a team, and understand that great service comes from being attentive, knowledgeable and one step ahead.

This is an event-driven position with a schedule that varies based on our event calendar. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

As an Events Server, you'll be part of the team responsible for bringing each event to life. Responsibilities include:

• Arrive prepared and receive event assignments and service details from the Event Captain or Manager.
• Provide warm, gracious and attentive service throughout every event.
• Learn event menus, ingredients, allergens, beverage offerings and the details necessary to confidently answer guest questions.
• Set up private dining rooms and event spaces according to event floor plans and service specifications.
• Prepare tables, place settings, service stations and other event areas before guests arrive.
• Polish and maintain china, glassware, flatware and service equipment.
• Execute food and beverage service according to Redbird and Vibiana service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs while remaining attentive, professional and unobtrusive.
• Work closely with Captains, Managers, bartenders, culinary teams and fellow servers to ensure seamless service.
• Communicate guest requests, concerns or special circumstances promptly to the Captain or Manager.
• Assist teammates whenever needed—we believe great events are the result of a team working together.
• Support Redbird restaurant service when needed and directed by management.
• Assist with breakdown, resetting and closing responsibilities at the conclusion of events.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and responsible beverage service requirements.

We value hospitality experience, but just as importantly, we're looking for people with good instincts, professionalism and a genuine desire to take care of guests.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A minimum of 2 years of restaurant, catering, banquet or event service experience.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including wine, beer, spirits and classic cocktails.
• An understanding of elevated restaurant and event service.
• The ability to learn menus, ingredients and common food allergens.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and POS skills.
• A professional, polished and welcoming presence.
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever the team needs support.
• The ability to receive feedback and coaching and continually grow as a hospitality professional.
• A valid California Food Handler Card.
• A valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification as required.

No two events at Redbird and Vibiana are exactly alike. One shift might be an intimate dinner at Redbird; another might be a wedding, gala, corporate reception or large celebration at Vibiana.

Because of the nature of events, flexibility is an important part of this position. Schedules may include early mornings, daytime events, evenings, weekends and holidays. Typical shifts range from approximately 4–8 hours, with occasional longer shifts or overtime based on event needs.

Team members should be comfortable working in restaurant dining rooms, private dining spaces, large event spaces and outdoor areas.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and move throughout the property for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8 hours or longer when necessary.
• Regularly reach, bend and stoop.
• Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Carry trays, service equipment and event materials as required.
• Regularly ascend and descend stairs, including multiple floors.
