Advanced Practice Provider

Clinic APP Job DescriptionThe Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing high quality primary medical care at the Duke Community Micro clinics under the supervision/in collaboration with the supervising physician within the scope of authority granted by the NC Board of Medical Directors. Providers see all age groups and provide comprehensive care to patients ages 2 and up including preventative care, chronic disease management and acute care.Duties include ordering, interpreting and communicating lab and imaging results. Clinics serve a patient population that is historically marginalized, underserved, un - or underinsured, and frequently non-English speaking, and work collaboratively with Lincoln Community Health Center (local FQHC). Spanish language proficiency preferred.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or family nurse practitioner program.License: Licensed to practice by the NCBON (FNP) or NCMB (PA-C).Certification: Certified by a recognized national APP board that allows treatment of all ages, i.e., Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). BLS Certification is required to apply, ACLS and PALS must be obtained after the start of employment. DOT Medical Examiner Certification obtained prior to starting employment or within first year of employment.Experience: Must have a minimum 2 years of experience in a primary care setting as an advanced practice provider.
