About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active license required Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred. Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CRT recommended. Must-Have: High School Diploma and College Diploma, or transcripts required. Previous travel experience preferred. Description: Weekends required. 3x12-hour night shifts. Floating between campuses may be required. Patient ratio is not applicable. Equipment used includes GE Ventilators. Previous charge experience is a plus. Community hospital experience and familiarity with Epic charting system preferred. The position involves adult critical care. Knowledge of aerosol setups and various respiratory medications is necessary. Candidates will be involved in procedures such as extubation and tracheostomy care. Comprehensive understanding of arterial blood gas interpretation is required. The role requires troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. Travelers must complete fingerprinting promptly. References from two professionals are required, including one from a manager or someone in a formal leadership role. Co-worker references are not accepted. Candidates must be aware of the urgency of the credentialing process. The position is open to local applicants at the same rate.
