Under the general supervision of the MGR PATIENT ACCESS/SCHEDULING, performs patient registration and pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verify insurance coverage, benefits, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due the facility and provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Associate Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications: * 6 months customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications: * General office experience.

Salary Range: Min $20.93, Max $32.07

Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications: 2 years of General office experience, which includes public interaction. 1 year of patient access experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience. Medical setting experience.

Salary Range: Min $21.92, Max $33.62

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Access, performs patient registration and pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verifies insurance coverage, benefits, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Senior Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications: 2 years general office experience with public interaction. 3 years patient access experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Courses in keyboarding and office practices. Courses in medical terminology. Upon hire: Epic Credentialing Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience. Medical setting experience.

Salary Range: Min $22.97, Max $35.32

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
