Technical Support Specialist (API, ETL, Java, C#), AVP - Charles River Development

Overview The Post Production Support Technical Specialist provides customer post‑go‑live support for the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). Core responsibilities include defining new client requirements, configuring and tuning the application to meet business and technical needs, testing technical workflows, resolving issues, and collaborating with other Charles River Support and Product resources to troubleshoot application issues and determine optimal technical solutions. Responsibilities Java and C# programming Lead and manage multiple technical initiatives, potentially handling several tasks simultaneously Develop with a results‑driven approach while maintaining tight schedules Participate in functional and technical requirements gathering and review Create, test, and correct inbound and outbound interfaces Collaborate with team members including business analysts, project managers, and customer staff Serve as a technical expert in implementation or support projects Desired Skills Java and C# programming Windows and Unix (Linux) Knowledge of ETL tools such as Kettle and Talend Familiarity with at least one SCM (Perforce is a plus) XML and XSLT Understanding of ERDs Tomcat configuration and optimization Knowledge of N‑tier application architecture Experience with SOAP/XML and messaging software such as MQ Series, MSMQ, Sonic MQ, Open JMS, Kafka In‑depth knowledge of an RDBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server Perl programming Self‑motivated and self‑driven BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced, team environment Experience with methodology‑based solution delivery and managing customer expectations Problem‑solving skills and ability to recognize long‑term solutions across multiple projects Detail‑oriented with strong multitasking ability Self‑starter, able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and client‑interaction skills Ability to travel as required (30–50%) Strong Preferences Financial services industry experience Previous consulting background Previous OMS implementation experience System integration using ETL tools Experience with Azure and Snowflake Education & Preferred Qualifications A BA/BS degree in a business or technical field including Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science Minimum of 4–5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the financial or software services industry (financial market information systems background preferred) Ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada and to work effectively when remote from clients Salary Range $100,000 – $167,500 Annual Benefits Employees are eligible to participate in State Street’s comprehensive benefits program, which includes a retirement savings plan (401K) with company match; insurance coverage such as life, medical, dental, vision, long‑term disability, and additional optional coverages; paid time off including vacation, sick leave, short‑term disability, and family care; access to an Employee Assistance Program; incentive compensation; eligibility for certain tax‑advantaged savings plans; and more.
