Responsibilities Work with Product Engineering teams to deliver functionalrequirements and ensure features are built to specifications. Contribute hands‑on (20–30%) to code writing, review, debugging,designing and evolving APIs, and delivering scalable platform services. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fosteringprofessional growth and development. Build architecture design, ensure quality, influence product roadmap,and introduce new technologies while owning new projects. Partner with Product, Security, Architecture, and Operations to alignengineering execution with business outcomes. Identify bottlenecks, reduce technical debt, and drive scalability,resilience, and cost‑efficiency. Define and track KPIs (deployment frequency, MTTR, test coverage,SLA adherence) to balance speed with quality. Maintain deep understanding of software development technologies,tendencies, and best practices, providing technical guidance. Oversee and manage on‑call incidents, troubleshooting criticaldisruptions to minimize downtime. Drive adoption of modern development practices, tools, and frameworksto improve productivity and product quality. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuouslearning within the team. Champion innovation and experimentation, encouraging explorationof new technologies. Collaborate with Product Management on brainstorming sessions andassist in writing requirements for technical debt. Report accomplishments, goals, issues, and deliverable statuses toeffectively manage stakeholder expectations. Establish performance goals for all direct reports. Continue education on management philosophies, banking industryknowledge, and sector‑specific applications. Qualifications Strong hands‑on experience in .NET, Java, C#, Linux ContainerDevelopment, k8s, MVC, SaaS, SOA, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server,Modern Javascript Frameworks, Entity Framework, microservices. Proven experience building and delivering SaaS‑based software withmodern system architecture, such as microservice‑based architectureand cloud‑native applications. Experience with one of the Cloud Service providers (AWS, Azure,Google Cloud Platform). Solid understanding of Operational Excellence, includingDev/Ops, CI/CD, Automated Testing, Observabilities, and real‑timeprocessing with event‑driven architecture. Experience with Observability tools like Grafana, New Relic, Haystack. Experience building complex role‑based access and entitlementsystems. Ability to make data‑driven decisions, evaluate trade‑offs, andprioritize projects efficiently. Experience building scalable systems that are operationallyefficient. Leadership: demonstrated experience in motivating cross‑functionalteams, setting expectations, fostering collaboration and inclusion. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of troubleshootingcomplex issues and implementing effective solutions. Experience managing multiple concurrent work streams and globalteams across time zones. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managingsoftware engineer teams. Proficiency in Lean‑Agile development methodologies (Kanban orScrum). Preferred experience in fintech, digital banking, or regulatedindustries. Knowledge of treasury management, cash positioning,liquidity management, commercial payments (ACH, wires), andreconciliation. Familiarity with banking data formats such as ISO20022, BAI2, MT940, and EDI 820. Experience and Education 15+ years of experience in software development or similarengineering fields. 5+ years in managing engineering teams. BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field involvingcoding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technicalexperience. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is: $160,000 - $180,000. Benefits include a remote‑first environment, unlimited paid timeoff, 401(k) with employer match, and other standard perks. Work Authorization We cannot offer employment sponsorship at this time.
