Part-Time Receptionist (Warsaw)

Salary Range Starting At: $15.00/ per hour Job Description: As the Receptionist you will provide support to the Corps Officers, other employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks and managing the front office in order to ensure that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do: Greet all persons, whether in person or via phone in a friendly, courteous manner Ensure messages are answered in a timely manner Assist the Corps Officer as needed with general office and business matters Develop and maintain collaborations with the Corps and community agencies Schedule appointments for Social Services. Produce and distribute correspondence, memos, letters, faxes and forms. Create and send Thank You notes to donors Assist in referrals for clients as needed Organize and schedule meetings and appointments for Social Services as directed. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Operate a variety of office machines/programs. Develop, prepare, update and maintain records and filing system. Assist with Volunteer development and logistics Assist with data entry pertaining to statistics and Christmas assistance. Communicating and receiving clients for appointments. Other duties as assigned by leadership Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: At least one year of record keeping is preferred, along with one year of hospitality experience. Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background checks results will be reviewed. Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm within the first 30 days of employment. Skills/Abilities: Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems Strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Basic knowledge of Spanish (preferred) Supervisory Responsibility: None The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job.
