Survivorship Behavioral Health Clinician

OncoveryCare

About Us: OncoveryCare is an early-stage virtual healthcare company committed to fundamentally rethinking and transforming the landscape of physical and mental healthcare for cancer survivors. Our team is composed of cancer survivors, physicians, and experts in cutting-edge healthcare delivery. We believe that care after a cancer diagnosis shouldn’t end when treatment is over, and we provide an innovative, evidence-based approach to deliver patient-centered, whole-person support for survivors throughout the cancer journey. Our vision is a world where living beyond cancer isn’t just “surviving”—it’s thriving. A few tidbits about cancer survivorship: There are over 18 million cancer survivors in the United States today—and that number is expected to grow to 26 million by 2040 Cancer survivors experience a range of physical and mental health side effects from treatment Survivorship starts at the moment of diagnosis and continues post-treatment—we are starting in the “transitions of care” phase post-treatment, when there is often not a specialized team to take over caring for the survivor moving forward Our Guiding Principles: By survivors, for survivors: We build the survivor voice and experience into all that we do Clinical integrity and rigor: We prioritize evidence-based approaches and an integrated team to deliver the highest-quality care Trauma-informed care: We “meet survivors where they are” and respect their lived experience Changing the status quo: We are committed to radically reinventing how cancer survivorship care is designed, delivered, and experienced Transparency & inclusivity: Building a new frontier of cancer care is both hard and rewarding—everyone has a role to play, and fostering a positive and open team culture is our priority Note: Oncology and/or survivorship experience required. At OncoveryCare, we have a firsthand understanding of the impact of cancer on one’s mental health and wellbeing, and are committed to supporting our patients with trauma-informed and evidence-based mental health care. As a Survivorship Behavioral Health Clinician , you will play a central role in the lives of our patients as they navigate the mental health challenges that can come with cancer survivorship. Through therapy sessions, you will build strong and supportive patient relationships at a key moment of need for our survivors. We believe mental and physical health are intricately connected, and as our behavioral health clinician, you will collaborate closely on patient care within our multidisciplinary team which includes survivorship MDs, NPs, care navigators and peer guides. We prioritize equipping our clinicians with the necessary tools and resources to deliver exceptional patient care. To support this, our care team is supported by a robust clinical operations team that assists with admin and billing, custom tools to streamline care delivery and documentation, and consultation from clinical leadership. Additionally, you will have access to vetted referral partners and community resources to facilitate seamless transitions of care for your patients. You will also have an opportunity to help shape the future landscape of survivorship care through working closely with executive leadership on program delivery and patient experience. What You’ll Do: Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to determine the mental health needs of cancer survivors and monitoring progress to adjust treatment plans as needed Deliver Therapy: Administer evidence-based individualized and group survivorship therapy protocols to cancer survivors Personalized Care Delivery: Collaborate closely with other members of the survivorship care team to identify and address patients’ mental health needs in the context of their individual history and unique experiences, promoting a holistic and integrated approach to survivorship care Participate in Collaborative Care: Support the implementation of an innovative cancer survivorship collaborative care program (CoCM), championing the integration of mental health support within the broader care model Care Planning: Support the care team in developing comprehensive care plans, providing expertise in behavioral health interventions where applicable to ensure holistic patient support Education Guidance: Deliver psychoeducation to survivors and their families, utilizing evidence-based OncoveryCare educational content and cutting-edge resources on survivorship care What You Will Need: 3+ years of clinical experience treating patients in a psycho-oncology or survivorship care setting required Master’s or doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD) Proficiency in therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills Ability to independently drive work forward and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Availability for a full-time 40 hour workweek, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm schedule Who You Are: Strong clinical focus.
