Do you have 3+ years of commercial or industrial brazing experience? Are you confident joining copper-to-copper, copper-to-stainless, and copper-to-brass with an oxy-acetylene torch and silver-based alloys? Can you keep tight control over heat and cleanliness when working on 2-1/8" to 4"+ copper? If you’re nodding yes, we have a Virginia-based assignment where your skills will shine.

Opportunity Overview

• Duration: 3–6 months on-site in Virginia
• Rate: $34/hour
• Schedule: 50+ hours/week guaranteed
• Per Diem: $45/day tax-free (7 days/week)
• Lodging: Private, single-occupancy hotel provided
• Travel: Paid travel time

Your Role

• Fabricate and install refrigeration and water subassemblies integral to commercial HVAC equipment.
• Cut, bend, and fit copper tubing; assemble and braze components to specification.
• Perform precise brazing on copper-to-copper, copper-to-stainless, and copper-to-brass joints using oxy-acetylene and silver fillers.
• Handle large-diameter piping work (approx. 2-1/8" to 4"+) while ensuring leak-free performance.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, BOMs, ECNs, and work instructions.

Must-Haves

• At least 3 years of recent commercial/industrial brazing experience (residential-only background does not meet requirements).
• Hands-on experience with large-diameter copper beyond typical residential scopes.
• Proficiency using oxy-acetylene torches and silver-based brazing alloys .
• Ability to read prints and technical documents using metric and standard units.
• Pro knowledge of heat control, joint prep, and best practices for copper and mixed-metal brazing.
• Familiarity with refrigeration or commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence with hand/power tools.
• Dedication to quality outcomes and safe work habits.
