Job Description Security Officer Lobby Operations in Washington, DC. Serve and safeguard clients across industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This part‑time position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to build a routine that works for you. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.94 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Sunday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service at the front desk following site‑specific procedures, assisting visitors, and supporting access control activities. Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify identification or visitor credentials, issue badges or passes, and maintain accurate entry logs. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations calmly; communicate with leadership or site contacts as needed. Answer questions, direct employees and guests to appropriate destinations, and support security‑related reporting, documentation, and emergency response activities. Observe front desk activity to deter unauthorized access; report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious behavior per site protocols. Minimum Requirements 21 years of age or older. Guard card and/or license preferred. At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation required as per federal, state, and local laws. Drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and local regulations.
