Production Supervisor

Location: Kokomo, IN
Pay Rate: $35.75/hour
Schedule: Must be available to work all shifts , including weekends and overtime as needed. Initial training may be conducted on 1st shift , with assignment likely on 2nd or 3rd shift .

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. This position is responsible for driving daily operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to motivate employees while maintaining a professional and safety-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 30–40 hourly employees
• Maintain staffing levels by managing attendance, call-offs, and employee reassignments
• Ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery targets are achieved
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and accountability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, WCM, Kaizen, SIS, or similar methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve production issues and improve operations
• Enforce company policies, work rules, and safety standards consistently
• Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous supervisory or people management experience (required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing leadership or production supervisory experience
• Experience leading crews or production teams
• Experience working in a union manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Kaizen, SIS, or other continuous improvement methodologies
