Surgical Technologist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team for a night shift assignment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care setting, supporting surgical teams in various specialties, with a focus on robotics and sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures with a thorough understanding of sterile techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments.
• Use and maintain robotic equipment, ensuring compliance with sterilization and safety procedures.
• Document all surgical procedures and instrument usage accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in patient care pre and post-surgery, including patient education and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting.
• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA is preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, including but not limited to Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN is a plus.
• Robotics experience is highly preferred.

Schedule

This is a night shift position (23:00 - 07:00) on a block schedule, requiring work on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
