Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Property Manager / Community Manager

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. -Confucius Overview We are seeking an Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Community Manager to lead and oversee daily operations of a multimillion‑dollar community, ensuring compliance with California housing regulations and optimizing community performance. Responsibilities Manage leasing, maintenance, and grounds teams, providing leadership and coaching to a supervisory staff. Ensure compliance with Affordable Housing programs, including eligibility determination, verifying income/asset documentation, and completing required HUD Handbook calculations. Submit tenant files to the Compliance Specialist/Bond Administrator and prepare compliance reports per the Community’s Regulatory Agreement. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and monthly reports to support financial performance and optimization of net operating income. Oversee maintenance operations, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance in accordance with landlord‑tenant law and fair housing regulations. Serve as the face of the community, engaging residents and addressing their concerns. Utilize Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office tools to manage community operations effectively. Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years supervisory experience leading leasing, maintenance, and grounds teams. In-depth knowledge of Affordable Housing and Tax Credit programs, including verification, income certification, and compliance reporting. Experience with financial statements, budgeting, and monthly reporting. Familiarity with landlord‑tenant law and fair employment/housing laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Yardi Voyager experience is an asset. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.
