Nurse Practitioner (New York/New Jersey)

Our in‑house clinical care team, composed of board certified doctors, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and patient care advocates, is just a text message away. As a Hey Jane provider, you will provide medication abortion care to patients via Hey Jane’s online platform. Visits will be conducted via video, phone or asynchronously. Prescribers review patients’ medical intake responses, communicate with them via our HIPAA‑compliant messaging app or on a live appointment, and determine if they are eligible for online medication abortion treatment. Medications are then prescribed to a mail‑order pharmacy and sent directly to the patient, or the patient can pick up medications at a local pharmacy. Administrative tasks, patient education and support, non‑urgent medical support, and follow‑up review are primarily handled by our nursing and patient advocate teams. Medical prescribers respond to medical inquiries that require further evaluation, and direct nursing staff regarding referrals and additional prescriptions as necessary. We are currently hiring a part‑time provider located in New Jersey or New York. Working Schedule 10‑hour shifts 08:00‑18:00 ET. Full time: Sunday‑Wednesday. Part time: one weekday + one weekend day + one on‑call shift outside of scheduled working hours. Compensation Full time: $135,000–$139,000 + equity. Part time: $72–$76 per hour (higher rate based on Spanish language fluency) + on‑call pay. Weekend differential pay available. Requirements Active Board Certification, in good standing to practice medicine. Active state licensure (NP) and licensed in NJ or NY. Willing and eligible to apply for additional licenses. Must have 1+ year experience providing abortion & reproductive healthcare. Interest in providing caring and compassionate services to diverse population with a non‑judgmental, patient‑centered approach. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients. Professional commitment to mission, philosophy and goals of Hey Jane.
