Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Welders for projects located in the Shreveport, LA area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan welding and assembly operations
• Position, align, and secure parts prior to welding
• Prepare metal surfaces for fabrication
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), plasma arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Join structural steel components
• Grind and clean welds
• Inspect finished work
• Maintain quality standards in a fabrication shop environment

Responsibilities

• 2+ years of welding/fitting experience
• All PPE
