Residential Restoration Technician ISunshine Enterprise USA is retained by our valued client to search and recruit for the following executive opening:Job Title: Residential Restoration Technician ILocation: Paducah, KYDepartment: Maintenance DivisionStatus: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per WeekReports To: Senior Maintenance Mechanic / Residential Restoration SpecialistPosition Overview: The Residential Restoration Technician I is responsible for assisting in the restoration and modernization of vacant and designated housing units. This position performs a wide range of residential maintenance, repair, and general labor duties to help reduce vacancy rates and restore units to occupancy standards. This is a full-time term position contingent upon project completion needs.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Practice and maintain all safety standards and PPE requirementsPerform residential unit repairs and modernization tasksClean and prepare vacant units including sweeping, mopping, washing, debris removal, and disinfectingInstall and repair drywall, sheetrock, insulation, wood and metal framingPerform painting, texturing, and finishing workRepair or replace plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, drains, valves)Repair or replace electrical switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, breakers, and fusesInstall and repair doors, windows, locks, cabinets, and mailboxesPerform light HVAC servicing and furnace assessmentsInstall appliances and perform general carpentry workUse hand and power tools safely and effectivelyMaintain assigned work vehicle and toolsWrite clear and detailed work completion notesAdhere to HUD regulations and Housing Authority policiesComplete assignments efficiently and participate in ongoing trainingBehavioral Competencies:Integrity and ethical conductStrong interpersonal skillsClear oral and written communicationProblem-solving abilityFlexibility and adaptabilityTechnical Competencies:Residential and building maintenance knowledgePlumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC skillsAttention to detailAbility to safely lift 50+ lbsAbility to read basic building plansSafe use of tools and equipmentEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum two (2) years of residential or commercial maintenance/construction experienceMaintenance certifications (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) preferredRequired Training & Certifications:Valid Driver's LicenseHVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical training preferredUPCS training (or willingness to obtain)Must be insurable under agency vehicle policyPhysical Requirements:Ability to work indoors and outdoorsAbility to bend, stoop, climb, and work in confined spacesAbility to lift 50 lbs. or moreExposure to construction-related environmental conditionsUse of required safety gear and protective equipmentWork Environment:Exposure to moderate construction-related risksMechanical, electrical, chemical, and environmental hazardsPriority will be given to currently Paducah County residents.
