We areseeking a Locums Psychiatrist (Physician) to provide inpatient coverage for adual diagnosis unit in Manchester, CT. This role focuses on managing patientswith both mental health and substance use disorders in a structured, team-basedenvironment.
Compensation: $220 Per Hour
Schedule
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Call: None
PracticeSetting
- Inpatient dual diagnosis unit
- 22-bed unit
- Patient Volume: 12 patients per day
- Average length of stay: 7-10 days
- Multidisciplinary support team including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatric technicians
ClinicalResponsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and treatment planning
- Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Coordinate care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry and/or addiction medicine preferred
