SQL Database Administration - Expert 84+ months experience. This is a part time position working 20 hours per week.

This is a remote position. However, preference will be given to candidates that have the potential to come onsite for work.

The NC office of Indigent Defense Services needs IT support to address a pending vacancy due to retirement. This position will be responsible for the continuity of business operations as it relates to an existing SQL database, MS Access frontend and SQL Data Portal. Additionally, the organization is preparing to update existing data systems and needs assistance to inventory the existing SQL Server and MS Access data systems to improve readiness for future development.

Description of duties (including, but not limited to):

• Data analysis and database management
• Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning
• Administration of application objects within database; maintenance of business requirements for database, database schema, data maps, ERDs, application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views, etc.) and performance of database application tuning.
• Inventory and catalog existing SQL and MS Access data systems
• Create adhoc reports and edit existing reports for end users as requested
• Support existing applications and workflows.
• SQL server administration

Required:

• 7 years of SQL Database design and development, generate reports.
• 5 years of .asp web application and Access database VB programming
• 4 years of Web hosting
• 4 years of Microsoft IIS Web Server
