Role Description The Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at the Jim Ellis Cadillac service department in Chamblee, GA. This role is responsible for greeting customers, listening to their service concerns, and accurately documenting vehicle issues and maintenance requests. Day-to-day tasks include creating repair orders, coordinating with technicians on diagnostics and recommended services, explaining service options and pricing, and obtaining customer approval. The Service Advisor monitors repair progress, keeps customers informed about status and timing, and ensures vehicles are returned in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include reviewing service invoices, answering phones and digital inquiries, scheduling appointments, and promoting recommended maintenance and aftersales services to support safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Customer-focused skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer-focused Service. Strong interpersonal and Communication skills for working with customers, technicians, and team members. Aftersales and service department experience, with the ability to discuss maintenance and repair options clearly. Prior experience in an automotive service advisor, service writer, or related customer-facing role preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accuracy in documentation and scheduling. Comfort working with dealership management systems, basic computer applications, and digital communication tools. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training is a plus.
