Position Summary

The Maintenance Person assists management in achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness while ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently. As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will be supported with the tools, training, and resources needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Cleaning & Sanitation

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms, and kitchen.

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, including under equipment and furniture

• Clean and sanitize:

• Tables, chairs, booths, and high-touch surfaces

• Restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, dispensers)

• Windows, doors, and entryways

• Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper goods, sanitizer)

1. Exterior Maintenance

• Keep parking lot, sidewalks, and landscaping clean and free of debris

• Remove trash, grease, gum, and spills

• Maintain trash receptacles and outdoor signage

• Monitor landscaping, including weeds, mulch, and general appearance

1. Equipment & Preventative Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment, including:

• Fryers and vats (filtering, cleaning, boil-outs)

• Accessing the roof to clean HVAC filters, condensers, and coils

• Follow the Planned Maintenance Calendar and complete all assigned tasks

• Report and follow up on any broken or unsafe equipment

1. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times

• Maintain a safe work environment by:

• Addressing leaks and wet floors immediately

• Follows all mopping procedures, including using a dry mop and using proper signage

• Correct and report hazards to management immediately

• Properly uses and operates equipment, including power washer, ladder, blower, filtering machines, and pallets

• Uses proper lifting techniques at all times to safely handle equipment and supplies and prevent injury

1. Operational Support

• Assist management and team members during busy periods when needed

• Complete maintenance logs, checklists, and required documentation

• Participate in routine walk-throughs and safety inspections

• Maintains a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor with customers and team members at all times

1. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and remain productive throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards

• Basic knowledge of maintenance and cleaning procedures (training provided)

• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

1. Dependability & Attendance

• Arrive to work on time and ready to work as scheduled

• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability

• Follow proper call-in procedures when necessary

1. Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Fast-paced and high-stress restaurant environment

• Includes outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat and sun exposure

• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with cleaning chemicals

• Must be comfortable working at heights, including the use of ladders and access to rooftop areas when required

• Able to arrive at work by 5:00 AM or earlier as required for truck deliveries
